    I got an interview

    Friday, January 19th, 2007

The weather out here has been very changeable recently. One day I get sunburn, then the university campus gets closed for high winds, then it snows. It doesn’t even rain here, but it snowed.

Yesterday I had my first interview. It was a while coming but I got a phone call for one job, then the next day a second call for a second job. So yesterday I drove down to Huntingdon Beach (where Jurgen Klinsmann lives) and interviewed for an IT Help Desk position. The company seemed cool and they have a really nice office, the interview went pretty well and the people seem nice. I’m hoping to have an edge over the competition as I speak French and they have plants in Montreal, Canada as well as Tolouse, France but there’s still a few more interviewees to go so hopefully I’ll hear back next week.

    The job hunt continues

It wasn’t so much a resolution but I’ve started coming in to the university library for the day. So I am currently working the same hours as Brenda but my job consists of looking for a job. Its been quite productive so far, the library has wifi so I can just spend the day looking for and applying to jobs, if I stayed at home I wouldn’t get anything done as her whole family is there at the moment.

The only problem is the lack of tea and coffee making facilities. The coffee side of things should be sorted soon once classes start again and they re-open the student union Starbucks.
